Jet engine testing is an extremely demanding application. One of the world's largest jet engine manufactures was experiencing significant failure rates while conducting critical pre-flight safety tests. They had used a variety of transmitters which failed due to shock, vibration, thermal effects and environmental conditions such as rain, heat, snow or hail.
