A pressure transducer was needed that could withstand hundreds of thousands of cycles per day from zero to full scale on a new generation transfer press. The unit had to be compact, provide a 4 to 20 mA output and endure an oil mist, high shock and vibration environment. In addition to the technical demands of this application, the customer required Viatran to supply a list of current automotive users that could be used as references.
