Viatran Model 510 Pressure Transmitters Now Available Within 48 Hours  

HOUSTON, May 2, 2011 – Viatran, a Dynisco company, today announced that it will now ship its popular Model 510 Pressure Transmitter to customers within 48 hours to help companies address their oil field sensor needs quickly and efficiently.  By enhancing its manufacturing capabilities, Viatran is now able to ensure that customers will receive on-time deliveries of up to ten units direct from the company’s factory.  All shipments are subject to Viatran’s usual terms and conditions. 

Viatran’s Model 510 is ideal for oil well servicing, cementing, fracturing and acidizing applications. It shares many of the same attributes of Model 509, which was created as a solution for a specific customer oil field application. Viatran’s Model 510 offers FM, CSA and ATEX Intrinsic Safety labels. It also offers high shock and vibration resistance. 

Model 510 includes the industry standard Hammer Union fastening system that locks under severe vibrations to ensure the environmental integrity of the assembly.  Additionally, the model features a semi flush design that provides a lower cavity volume to prevent clogging.  This feature eliminates the need for tedious cleaning, especially in cementing applications. 

To design the ideal Hammer Union, Viatran’s product development engineers used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to determine the most effective distribution of the strain gages to reduce the clamping effect.  The resulting eight gage sensor design is unaffected by the orientation or tightness of the Hammer Union nut.
