Rugged Model 570 Series Sensors from Viatran Ideal for Numerous Oil Industry Applications
| Grand Island, NY (June 19, 2008) . . . The Model 570 Series of pressure transmitters from Viatran Corporation are designed for use in hazardous environments and with a watertight, submersible design they are especially well-suited for use in oil and gas industry applications such as offshore rig safety systems, well heads, oil pumping and natural gas pipelines. These 4-20mA sensors have pressure ranges from 0-100 through 0-100,000 psis/a, with accuracy of up to +/-0.20% (range specific). They feature a reliable, cost-effective design and with a diameter of 1.5” and height of less than 5”, are ideal for limited space applications. They have a hermetically-sealed enclosure and an all-welded stainless steel construction. The Model 570 comes standard with a ¼” NPT female thread for low pressure applications (<15K psi), and an F-250-C autoclave fitting for high pressure applications (>20K psi). The Model 570 Series of sensors are FM, ATEX, CSA and CE approved. They feature bonded foil strain gage sensors which eliminate damage to the sensors when they are exposed to transient pressure spikes. Viatran also offers isolation diaphragms and oil fills for specific application requirements. |
