Viatran announced today that DevCom2000-Lite Software is now available to enable field calibration and adjustment of Viatran Model 511, 521 & 522 Hammer Union Pressure Transmitters.

Viatran has partnered with ProComsol, Ltd. ( Process Communications Solutions) to develop this “easy to use” method for  trimming and adjusting Viatran hammer union pressure transmitters in the field.

According to Brian Duffy, Product Manager for Viatran, “Field calibration with a known pressure source is now possible. Users  can keep their pressure transmitters in service for longer periods between factory calibrations. Using a laptop with our reliable HART® Modem  and DevCom2000-Lite software, offers cost savings when compared to expensive single purpose handheld communicators”

The familiar Windows interface allows easy access to the functions needed. No more paging through endless menus to find what you want. All that is needed to get started is a Windows® based PC or laptop, a HART® Modem and a 250 Ω loop resistor to connect to a Viatran Hammer Union Pressure Transmitter.
